Codes and conventions of characters from horror films - the protagonist
The protagonist(s) are usually have the most morals and are the most intelligent out of the rest of the characters or group.The protagonist usually survives and defeats the antagonist. The protagonist is normally male orientated but sometimes it is female orientated which the term described for this is called the 'final girl' (Clover) which is usually found in some horror slasher films.
