Codes and conventions - location and setting

Location and setting – Isolated places (abandoned house/ haunted house, cave, countryside, isolated town). Isolated places are used to make the characters/ victims feel trapped away from civilization and put them in an unknown and unsafe environment which creates more of the vulnerability of the victims.
